*Summary of the positions’ key areas of accountability:*

*Program Assistant:*

Program Assistant will support the implementation of co and extra
curricula activities
in the central regions (Ramallah and Jerusalem and coordinate
administrative support for other regions. Working closely with the
officers in the region, the assistant will organize and follow up field
implementation of activities in the central region and will coordinate
with Co and Extra Curricula manager the major administrative and bulk
procurements functions and logistic support for operation in the central
region. This position is seconded to AMIDEAST and based in AMIDEAST
office in Ramallah.

*Key Areas of Rsponsibilities:*
*Coordination:*
• Working closely with co and extra curricula manager and program officers
ensure central governorate activities are integrated within the overall
School
Improvement plans, provide assistance for officers, consultants in need
assessments,
conducting trainings, etc...
• Coordinate with private sector partners, LNGOs and other stakeholders for
engagement with School Improvement Program

*Assist in Planning and support intervention detailed design:*
• Support the team, schools, community and partners to conduct assessments,
organization of meetings/workshops, collecting information and materials.

*Program Implementation:*
• Follow up implementation of co and extra curricula activities in
target schools,
including procurement of needed materials, collecting data and reporting.

*Qualification, Skills and Experience required:*
• Bachelors degree, preferably in education, social sciences,
humanities, Business
Administration or a related field;
• 2-3 years of administrative experience in project implementation;
• Experience working in schools or educational settings with youth;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, working
collaboratively with
colleagues
• Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours.
• Written and verbal fluency in English.
• Valid driving license
Starting Date: October 1st, 2013
Contract duration: around 3 years
